A good quality moisturizer can be life-changing for you skin, and it can even help with skin issues, such as hyperpigmentation and acne!
Before diving into the three amazing face moisturizers for dry skin, I think it's also important to go over the importance of how to apply your moisturizer.
Moisturizer should be at the end (or towards the end) of your skin care routine. Your skin care products should be applied starting from the thinnest consistency products to the thickest. This will help all your skin care products absorb as much as possible. So, using the moisturizer as the last step will help to lock in the other products you used.
Now, when you apply moisturizers, it's most ideal to apply it when your skin is damp. This will also help to lock in the hydration into your skin. However, if you use products, such as toners and serums, before you use moisturizer, it will be hard to get your face damp again.
Thus, I recommend starting your skin care routine with a toner that has hyaluronic acid to lock in the moisturizer right away. This will help get as much moisturizer into your skin as possible, and it will slightly help your dry skin!

CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion
If you've read my other blog posts, you know how much I swear by the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. For any skin type, the CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion will work, but if you have drier skin, the moisturizing cream will work so much better for your skin.
This moisturizer has 3 essential ceramides that your skin naturally has, so this moisturizer will help to nourish and replenish the skin. It is also fragrance-free, which is a huge plus if you have sensitive skin or other skin issues. Of course, this moisturizer also has hyaluronic acid, which is a key ingredient used for hydration.
You can use this on your face and body, and it is not going to feel too heavy on your face. Although this is a thicker moisturizer, it seeps into the skin fairly quickly and does not leave a greasy residue on the skin. You will definitely notice that your skin feels calmer and more hydrated after using this moisturizer!
Boissance Squalene + Omega Repair Cream
This Biossance Squalene + Omega Repair Cream is a bit on the pricier end, but this is a moisturizer that is truly worth every penny. Out of the three moisturizers in this post, the Biossance Cream is the least thickest in consistency. However, it still provides amazing hydration for very dry, flaky skin.
As it says on the packaging, this is a moisturizer that is packed with omega fatty acids, which help hydrate the skin, repair the skin barrier, and soothe inflammation. Another key ingredient that is labeled in its name, is squalene. Squalene has so many benefits, such as moisturizing and soothing.
Some additional ingredients in this moisturizer that will help your skin include hyaluronic acid and glycerin. Glycerin is an ingredient commonly used in moisturizers because it helps retain the moisture in the skin.
There are no artificial fragrances in this moisturizer, which is amazing, of course, but it does have an herbal scent that many people might not be too fond of. Luckily, the scent goes away quickly and will not linger on your face all day.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
The Ultra Repair Cream from First Aid Beauty is another amazing face moisturizer for dry skin. I especially love to bring this out in the winter time, when my skin is a lot drier than usual. This is a rich moisturizer that truly helps heal flaky and cracking skin.
It has shea butter and colloidal oatmeal, which are both beneficial for dry skin. Colloidal oatmeal is amazing because it is especially known for helping extremely dry skin and even eczema. These two ingredients together will tremendously help your dry skin, while also attacking other skin concerns, like redness and wrinkles.
Personally, this is a moisturizer that I tend to use at night because it is a lot thicker. I love how soft and plump my skin feels in the morning after using this cream. As it says in the title, it truly is a repair cream!
