1. Clean Your Home
A cluttered environment leads to a cluttered mind, so cleaning your home is the first thing you should do. Start by making your bed, cleaning the surfaces, and then organizing your drawers. If you dread cleaning, try turning on your favorite music to help you stay energetic as you clean.

2. Set The Mood
Next up, it’s time to make your home feel homier. Turn on a diffuser or light your favorite candle. If you want to feel extra cozy or warm, turn on your fireplace (or have a fireplace image on your TV)! These little steps will bring warmth to your environment and make you feel much cozier at home. If you are sensitive to fragrances, opt for fragrance-free candles, so you can still get the cozy ambiance.
Once you’ve gotten that part down, it’s time to turn on your favorite relaxing music. This will really set your mind for relaxation and hopefully distract you from your busy life.
Recommended Candles:
Voluspa is one of my favorite candle brands because all of their candles just smell sooo good. The “Branche Vermeil” scent is my all-time favorite; it is more of a woody scent, but there many other scent options to choose from on their site. Voluspa candles have a fairly strong fragrance, but if you love that, you’ll love this brand.
You can never go wrong with a 3-wick candle from Bath and Body Works. My go-to scents from this brand are “Marshmallow Fireside” and “Paris Cafe.” They are definitely worth $25, as they are big candles that last for a fairly long amount of time. The 3-wicks in these candles bring more light to your environment and allow the fragrance to seep throughout the house, which is a huge plus!
If you prefer unscented candles, the White Votive Candles are super affordable and a beautiful addition to your home. It comes in a pack of 12, so each candle is only $1.50! I have these placed around the house to spice up the decor in my house, and they are amazing. There are many other unscented candles on the market, but I think these are the perfect sized candles to have around the house.
Recommended Diffusers:
I cannot say enough good things about this candle. It is super affordable, has a sleek design, and truly extends the scent of the essential oil throughout your room. Anjou also has a smaller, 300ml version of this diffuser: Anjou “Ultrasonic” Diffuser.
This is another great diffuser that you can place on your night stand or coffee table. I had this in my dorm room, and it works great as a decor piece as well! If you prefer a smaller diffuser, this Volcano Diffuser is a great coice.
3. Bath-Time
Next, it’s time to lay back in your bathtub and cleanse your body. You might be more of a shower person than a bath person, but spending even five minutes bathing will help ease the tension in your body.
Before getting in the tub, you can take the extra step to dry brush your body. This will help get rid of any excess dead skin on your body, and it will leave your body feeling so soft after you get out of the bath. I highly recommend the PopChose Dry Brushing Body Brush because it really helps to get rid of the excess skin and flakes on your body without irritating your skin.
Now, throw in a bubble bath soap, a soaking salt, or a bath bomb to get the most out of your bath experience. There are many different bath products with ingredients, such as Eucalyptus or CBD, which will help you further lighten up the tension in your body.

This is a cute set of bath bombs, and like the packaging says, it’s meant for you to “chill.” It has a therapeutic, jasmine rose scent and honestly, I just love the packaging of these bath bombs.
Lush also has a wide range of bath bombs, with different colors and scents, that you can try. There are usually less than $10, and they dissolve in the bathttub really well.
These soaking salts from Herbivore, are a great addition to your bathtub experience. They have a light fragrance, but most importantly they help to ease the tension in your body. If you are not into crazy bubbles or colors in your bath, these soaking salts are a great option!
There are tons of bubble bath soaps you can choose from, depending on what scent you like. Philosophy has great bubble bath soaps because you don’t need a lot of product to get the foamy bubbles you want. They also have many classic and unique scents to choose from, and the products lasts a long time.

Exfoliating your body helps you acheive smooth and soft skin. It also prevents your skin from being too dry and flaky, and leaves your skin looking glowy and youthful afterward.

Next, lets get rid of the excess dirt, skin, and flakes on your skin. However, please… PLEASE stay away from physical exfoliators AKA exfoliators with exfoliating beads. These can be very harsh on your skin and irritate it. Instead, opt for chemical exfoliators such as these ones below.
