Best Skin Care Products
I really invested in skin care this year, and I'm glad I did because I found an amazing collection of products that helped to improve my skin's health and texture!
Get $5 off your first Summer Fridays purchase here!
Now, this is a product that everyone needs to use. The 'Green Clean Cleansing Balm' will dissolve all your makeup easily, so you don't need to rub or tug on your face.
It's very gentle, and it does not leave an oily residue when you rinse the balm off. A little goes a long way with this products, so it will last you quite a while!
I'm SUPER picky about the cleansers I use because I have acne prone and sensitive skin.
So, I was hesitant to try this cleanser, but the 'Super Amino Gel Cleanser' does not irritate my skin at all. It actually leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean.
This cleanser was my go-to when I was dealing with maskne because it helped to soothe my breakouts!
This is a must have for everyone, no matter what skin type you have or what skin issues you are struggling with.
The Cerave 'Foaming Facial Cleanser' is a gentle cleanser that removes all the dirt and grime on your skin without stripping your skin. Best of all its very affordable, and the product will last you a long time!
This was probably my most used skin care product in 2020.
Bioderma's Micellar Water is gentle for removing excess makeup or dirt on your face. It's great for all skin types, and safe to use for acne prone, sensitive, or flaky skin!
Although Nizoral's main purpose is to help with dandruff, it is the only product that has helped get rid of the small, textured bumps on my skin (also known as fungal acne).
Many people, including myself, use this to get rid of their fungal acne, and I swear by this product. Be aware that this does dry out your skin, so make sure to use a good moisturizer afterwards!
Best Makeup Products
Although there weren't many opportunities to showcase our makeup looks, staying at home also gave me a lot of time to play around with makeup. 🙂
This Missha BB Cream has SPF, solid coverage, and a natural finish. It's thin and lightweight, so you won't even feel like you have face makeup on.
The only down side to this product is it's limited color selection, but you can also mix this with another face product to get the perfect match.
One of my favorite pressed powders of ALL time. The Maybelline Matte + Poreless Powder lasts all day, smooths out your skin, and does not look cakey.
$6 for a powder that does it all — what more can you ask for?
This Tom Ford blush will give you the most natural flush of color on your cheeks.
If you want a radiant blush that is not overpowering, this is the blush for you. It has a luxurious finish, and it does not look chalky or cakey when applied.
Although it is on the pricey end, this product will last you a long time, even if you use it everyday (like I do).
There's an endless amount of eye looks you can do with the Soft Glam eyeshadow palette, so you're never out of options.
These eyeshadows are also super pigmented and blendable, which is a must when looking for new eyeshadow palettes. Overall, the colors, quality, and staying power of this palette makes this makeup product worth every penny.
11. L'Oreal 'Telescopic Mascara'│$9
On my natural days, I would only apply the L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara. It lengthens my lashes, and actually keeps my lashes curled up all day.
This mascara is also great for volume without clumping your eyelashes. If you're looking for the perfect mascara to try, I recommend this one.
12. Dior 'Lip Glow'│$34
The Dior Lip Glow is one of the best, tinted lip balms I've tried in a while. It might even be overthrowing my all time favorite YSL 'Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick Balm'!
Everything about the Dior Lip Glow, from the application to the finished look is perfection. It has a buttery consistency, and it adds color to your lips while also enhancing your natural lip color. (My personal favorite shades are #012 'Rosewood' and #001 'Light Pink.')
Best Hair Products
In 2020, I really started to prioritize my hair care again, and I found some amazing products that improved the look and health of my hair.
13. amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask │$28
After color treating my hair for the first time in 2020, my normally healthy hair turned brittle, dry, and thin.
After trial and error, I finally found a hair product that saved my hair—the amika Soulfood Nourishing Hair Mask. After using this mask, your hair immediately feels softer and healthier. It deeply nourishes your hair, and leaves it smooth and hydrated for multiple days.
14. Gisou 'Honey Infused Hair Oil' │$46-$87
The Gisou 'Honey Infused Hair Oil' restores the moisture in my hair without leaving it oily or greasy. It's formulated with Mirsalehi Honey, which helps to smooth and moisturize your hair.
You can apply it on damp or dry hair, and I especially love pairing this with the Gisou 'Honey Infused Hair Mask.'
15. UNITE 'Hair Blonda Shampoo'│$23
For my ladies (and gents) with blonde, color-treated hair, this product will be your new best friend.
After using the 'Hair Blonda Shampoo,' my blonde hair looks so beautiful and vibrant. It does a great job at removing the brassiness from your hair, and it doesn't leave purple residue afterwards.
16. OUAI 'Detox Shampoo'│$30
This detox shampoo is a lifesaver, especially after using a ton of hair products on my hair throughout the week.
The OUAI 'Detox Shampoo' contains apple cider vinegar, which helps to deeply cleanse your scalp and hair. It works amazingly on all hair types, and my girlfriends with oily hair seem to love this more than I do!
17. Olaplex 'No. 3 Hair Perfector'│$28
This was recommended to me by my hairdresser, and I truly believe this product is the reason why my hair has gotten stronger.
The best way to use the No. 3 Hair Perfector is to use it like a mask before shampooing. After using this consistently, you will notice that your hair is stronger and healthier.
18. Malin + Goetz Shampoo│$28
The Malin + Goetz Shampoo is another hair product that my hairdresser recommended to me, and another product I fell in love with.
It's a sulfate-free shampoo that still leaves your hair feeling deeply cleansed. It's not overly drying on your scalp, and it works for all hair types.
Best Body Products
2020 gave me a lot of reasons to have self care days, and these body products made pampering feel much more luxurious and refreshing.
19. CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion│$12
This has been my go-to moisturizer for my face, hands, and body.
The CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion is rich with hyaluronic acid and ceramides, which works to moisturize and strengthen the skin barrier.
It's also fragrance-free, so it's gentle and won't irritate your skin.
After using Nécessaire's body washes, I don't think I will use another body wash again.
This body wash immediately makes you feel refreshed and clean, while also improving your skin texture. It also has Niacinamide, which helps improve the skin barrier and calm the skin.
There are four fragrance options, but my top two favorites are the 'Fragrance-Free' and 'Eucalyptus' options.
21. OUAI 'Scalp & Body Scrub'│$38
Like the packaging says, this works as both a scalp and body scrub. However, I primarily used this on my body to remove flakiness and dead skin on my body.
The OUAI Scalp & Body Scrub lathers up quickly, which helps to give a gentle exfoliation. I especially love to use this before shaving my body to get a nice, clean shave.
I highly recommend this to anyone with flaky or dryer skin types!
22. OUAI 'Hand Wash'│$32
In 2020, I wanted to step away from my classic lavender scent hand soaps, and try something new. This new OUAI hand wash was perfect to try out, and I ended up loving it!
It has a mature fragrance, but it is not too overwhelming. I have this in every bathroom of the house because I love it so much!
This hand wash also has small, exfoliating beads that help to make your hands feel soft.
This is a fragrance that I loved in the summer time! The Acai Bae perfume is a sweet scent with a hint of vanilla.
I love this perfume because it's very subtle, but still has great lasting power for the price.
If you like sweet scents, I highly recommend this perfume! It's affordable, but it's still a great quality perfume.
I've been in love with this scent for the longest time, after using up my sample size sparingly, I finally splurged on the full size.
It's one of my all time favorite scents, and I get the most compliments about my perfume whenever I wear this REPLICA perfume.
This perfume is a warm and slightly musky scent, and I truly feel so confident in this perfume. I've been wearing this throughout the year, but I think it's especially perfect for the fall and winter time.
Best Beauty Tools
These are the best beauty tools I discovered in 2020. They made my beauty routine a lot more easier, and I now use these tools every single day.
25. 'No Bend' Hair Clips│$4
After seeing celebrities with these clips on their hair while getting their makeup done, I decided to give them a try.
These 'no bend' hair clips are perfect for when you're doing your makeup. It gets your hair out of your face without ruining or creasing your hair.
Best of all, you get six clips for only $4!
My go-to eyelash curler has always been the Shu Eumera eyelash curler. However, after purchasing this Tweezerman eyelash curler, I have been using it since.
It's half the price of the eyelash curler I used previously, and I even think it might hold my curls better.
If you struggle with straight, downward facing eyelashes, you definitely need to try this eyelash curler out!
This past year, I ditched the regular cotton rounds, and I started purchasing reusable cotton rounds.
I find that they are much more gentle on the skin, and you're helping the environment! These cotton rounds from Summer Fridays are great because they are soft, gentle, and easy to clean!
You also will save a lot of money in the long term because you won't have to continue purchasing disposable cotton rounds!
28. Revlon 'One-Step Hair Dryer' │$42
I don't think I can ever get myself to by the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer (it's $400!), so I decided to purchase Revlon's One-Step Hair Dryer instead.
And, I must say, I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. It's easy to use, and this one tool will give you the most beautiful and voluminous blowout!
There are different types of bristles on this hair dryer to help detangle and smooth out your hair while drying it.
This Rose Quartz Facial Roller has been my favorite tool to use in the morning. I leave it in my fridge overnight, and use it in the morning to depuff my face.
It stays cool as you roll it on your face, and it truly helps to ease the tension and puffiness on your face.
There are a TON of facial rollers out on the market. Amazon has many options, such as this rose quartz roller from LeiCare! It's $14 and it has amazing reviews!
Silk, eye sleeping masks have become a new addition to my bedtime routine. My sleeping mask has helped me sleep faster and better.
I prefer using silk masks because it doesn't irritate or tug on your skin. Unfortunately, the mask I use is discontinued, but this one from Lulusilk is another amazing mask!
Lulusilk has quality masks, and the prices are amazing, especially because they use 100% silk!
This concludes my top beauty favorites of 2020!

Most people I talk to have no idea that fast hair growth scalp therapy shampoos (obviously without any sulfates, parabens or DEA) are even a thing. We now may possess longer hair and possess more alternatives. Undoubtedly worth looking into it.
Whether you’re exploring alopecia, hair damage, preventing skin disorders, fast hair growth, hair care in general, almost the same thoughts become relevant.
For the most part, you should try to stay away from hair treatments and products that include chemicals like parabens, DEA and sulfates.
What is healthy for your hair is good for your skin all the same.
It goes without saying the content here is so useful for multiple reasons. It avoids the accustomed errors and mistakes so many fall into- getting horrible alternatives. Thank you!
